Job Description

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain tooling for engineers’ local development environments.
• Improve build and test speed and reliability and troubleshoot build and CI failures.
• Improve Kubernetes tooling so product teams can independently make routine application changes.
• Develop catalog entries, templates, and plugins for the Backstage developer portal.
• Support releases through Kargo and improve release automation.
• Participate in a support rotation, document solutions, and convert recurring problems into tooling improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of software engineering experience, including internships or significant projects.
• Programming experience in TypeScript or JavaScript plus Go or Python.
• Comfort with shell scripting and the command line.
• Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD concepts.
• Interest in developer tooling, infrastructure, and improving engineers’ effectiveness.
• Clear communication, strong collaboration skills, and alignment with Ironclad’s values.
